IRD SSRU Contributes Insights to NESDC on Advancing Thai Higher Education Reform toward the 14th National Economic and Social Development Plan

On October 30, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, participated in a consultation and exchanged views with the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC).

The session was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Komsan Somanawat, Vice-President for Administration, who was assigned by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, together with members of the university’s executive team.

On this occasion, Mr. Wanchat Suwankitti, Deputy Secretary-General of NESDC, and his delegation conducted interviews and gathered opinions on approaches to reforming the administration and management of public higher education institutions. The information and recommendations obtained will contribute to the preparation of the 14th National Economic and Social Development Plan.

The discussion focused on enhancing the efficiency and agility of university administration, promoting the effective use of resources, and strengthening the ability of higher education institutions to adapt to changing circumstances. It also emphasized the development of a high-quality and flexible higher education system capable of producing human resources that meet the country’s future needs and development directions.
