Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s Institute for Research and Development Joins NRCT Meeting to Discuss Cooperation in Developing Research and Innovation Personnel

On June 15, 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) organized the 1st/2026 meeting to discuss academic cooperation guidelines for developing Rajabhat University personnel involved in research and innovation. The meeting, held via video conference, brought together the NRCT and Rajabhat universities nationwide for Fiscal Year B.E. 2569, with the aim of jointly determining directions for enhancing the capabilities of research and innovation personnel in alignment with national development policies.

On this occasion, AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, assigned representatives from the Institute to attend the meeting. The representatives included Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication, and Miss Chutima Teerasuwan, Research Officer. They participated in the discussion, exchanged views, and received information on national-level approaches to promoting and supporting the capacity development of researchers at Rajabhat universities.

The meeting featured a presentation on the outcomes of operations supporting researcher development under the practical training program on writing research proposals aligned with research and innovation in new dimensions. It also addressed guidelines for research and innovation grant support from the NRCT, with the objective of strengthening researchers’ capabilities in producing high-quality research outputs that can be effectively applied in practice.

In addition, Miss Sukanya Ameen, an expert in research and innovation grant management and Acting Director of the Research-Driven Policy Division of the NRCT, participated in exchanging views and discussing approaches to supervising, monitoring, and evaluating personnel development among Rajabhat universities. The discussion also covered research grant management, challenges encountered during implementation, and recommendations for improving operations in order to enhance the quality of researchers and strengthen their capacity to create research outputs that respond to the needs of society and the nation.

The meeting further discussed future cooperation, including the promotion of Rajabhat universities’ research and innovation outputs on national academic platforms, preparation for the development of a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation in research and innovation personnel development between the NRCT and Rajabhat universities, and the establishment of a shared operational framework for future collaboration. These efforts aim to develop a new generation of researchers with the potential to produce high-quality research and innovation that can generate positive impacts on the economy, society, and communities in a sustainable manner.

Participation in this meeting reflects Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s commitment to continuously promoting and enhancing the capabilities of research and innovation personnel. It also supports the university’s mission to advance research in alignment with national development strategies and to strengthen academic cooperation networks with government agencies and higher education institutions across the country.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the development of research and innovation personnel; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through the promotion of research outputs that can be applied in practice; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the establishment of academic cooperation networks between the NRCT and Rajabhat universities nationwide.
