Institute for Research and Development Participates in “Cyber Aware: Recognize, Protect, Prevent” Training to Strengthen Cybersecurity Resilience in the Digital Era

On July 8, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, led by Mr. Anuphan Suttimarn, Head of General Administration, together with Mr. Panupong Phumrin, Computer Technical Officer, participated in the training program “Cyber Aware: Recognize, Protect, Prevent.” The training was organized by the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, at the Chokaew Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Building 31. The program aimed to enhance knowledge, understanding, and cybersecurity awareness among university personnel.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirilak Ketchai, Vice-President for Digital Technology, and was attended by university executives, personnel, and training participants.

The training was honored by the participation of Mr. Pichaya Morimoto, Managing Director of Siam Thanad Hack Co., Ltd., who served as the guest speaker. He shared knowledge on the current landscape of cyber threats in the digital era, emerging attack trends, techniques for identifying and preventing cyber threats, and guidelines for safeguarding personal and organizational data. The training aimed to enable personnel to apply the knowledge gained in their work, reduce information security risks, and support the university’s operations in the digital era more effectively.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the promotion of learning and digital skills development among personnel; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through the enhancement of information technology security and digital infrastructure; SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, through the promotion of secure, transparent, and reliable data management; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through integrated collaboration between internal university departments and external experts to sustainably strengthen cybersecurity capacity.
