Research and Development Joins the
National Stage at Thailand Talent Summit
2025 — Showcasing Research and
Innovation to Drive Sustainable National
Development
The Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, participated in “Thailand Talent Summit 2025: Fostering Thailand Future; Advancing Innovation and National Impact” under the theme “SRI for All,” held from 11–13 December 2025 at PEACH – Royal Cliff Beach Pattaya, Chonburi. The summit—organized by Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary, MHESI, the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B), and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)—served as a premier national forum to advance human capital, strengthen collaborative networks, and translate research into tangible, sustainable impact.
Representing the Institute on assignment from Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, were Atidtaya Buasri, Vice-Director of Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation; Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication; and Dr. Duangjai Limsaksri, Vice-Director for Administration, together with Institute personnel. The Institute showcased place-based research and community-driven innovation with one oral presentation—“Causal Factors and Effects of a Helping-Others Development Program for Undergraduate Students” by Dr. Parawee Kanchanapee Nilphai—two poster presentations—“Innovation of a Smokeless Charcoal Kiln and the Production of Biochar from Oil-Palm Residues” by Nattida Chanhom, and “Local Wisdom for Enhancing Health Tourism Value Based on Community Lifestyles in Ranong Province” by Jirawat Sudsawart—and two exhibition works—“Supply Chain Study of Field Crab Aquaculture and the Development of Value-Added Products from Processing By-products” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Prisna Pianjing, and “Innovations for Quality Enhancement, Value Addition of Mangosteen Produce, and Upcycling of Agricultural Residues: The ‘Sweet Mangosteen for Export’ Group, Lamliang Subdistrict, Kra Buri District, Ranong Province” by Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich.
This participation underscores the Institute’s commitment to demonstrating research and innovation capacity on a national platform and to strengthening academic collaboration networks so that outcomes effectively address societal, community, and national needs. The engagement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals by advancing researcher competencies and the research-learning ecosystem in higher education (SDG 4), translating research into decent work and measurable socio-economic value (SDG 8 ), driving innovation toward practical deployment and stronger research infrastructure (SDG 9), supporting sustainable cities and communities through community-based development (SDG 11), promoting responsible consumption and production via upcycling and waste reduction across value chains (SDG 12), contributing to climate action through lower-emission production pathways (SDG 13), and expanding multi-stakeholder partnerships among universities, government agencies, and allied organizations under the “SRI for All” vision (SDG 17).
