Congratulations to Mr. Sathani Khunthanayalak Kamnerdrit from the Learning Center for Increasing Efficiency of Agricultural Production (ศพก.), Mueang Ranong District, Ranong Province—an innovator under the PMU-A AppTech initiative within the project “Development of Beekeeping Technology and Artificial Honeycomb Frames to Increase Community Economic Value.” The project is led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanyapat Thanakulvutiroj (Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University) together with the University’s network of research users. The innovation won First Prize at the Eco-Innovation Award 2025, as part of the competition on high-value agriculture development through innovative technology toward sustainability, organized by the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), and received a cash prize of 50,000 baht.
This award-winning innovation is an extension of a PMU-A research project on developing beekeeping technology and artificial honeycomb frames to enhance community economic value. By integrating the “Bee House–Artificial Honeycomb Frames” concept with technology, the project increases beekeeping efficiency, generates income, and supports farmers in achieving tangible, sustainable livelihoods.
The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty) by increasing income and strengthening occupational security within communities; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through career development and the expansion of grassroots economic opportunities; SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by ensuring knowledge and innovation reach communities more broadly; SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through efficient resource use and production processes; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by integrating collaboration among the University, government agencies, the financial sector, and networks of research users to scale up innovation for local development.
The national-level competition entry was also supported by the BAAC Ranong Provincial Office, which helped propel the innovation to national success.
