????Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s Institute for Research and Development Enhances the Capacity of Entrepreneurs in Samut Songkhram through AI to Strengthen Community Marketing and Foster a Sustainably Competitive Grassroots Economy

On 18 February 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Asst. Prof. Dr. Wat Ploysri, Vice-Director for Academic Affairs and Training Service, to organize an activity aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for marketing communication and the creative and effective development of community-based businesses in Samut Songkhram Province.

This activity was conducted under the project to strengthen the economy and improve the quality of life of communities in a sustainable manner, which forms part of the Rajabhat University strategy for local development. The initiative aimed to develop the capacity of entrepreneurs and local residents to apply AI tools in creating digital marketing media, designing commercial images, and planning brand communication strategies effectively—skills that are essential for operating businesses in the digital economy.

This hands-on workshop was honored by the participation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Pisit Chamnanna, who delivered a lecture on “Creating Professional Marketing Images with Freepik AI and Prompt Writing Techniques for Marketing Visuals,” and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kathleeya Rukphichai, who spoke on “Brand Storytelling and Content Ideation with Claude, and the Application of Claude in Community Businesses.” The workshop focused on adapting AI technologies to local products and identities in order to add value, expand marketing opportunities, and strengthen the competitiveness of community businesses in a concrete manner.

This initiative is aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through the promotion of digital skills that enhance competitiveness and generate sustainable income; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through the transfer of technological and innovation knowledge to the grassroots economy; and SDG 4: Quality Education, in terms of lifelong learning and the development of skills essential for careers in the 21st century.

The activity reflects the role of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University as a higher education institution serving as a key mechanism for transferring knowledge and modern technology to communities, enabling people to access innovation equitably, and laying the foundation for local economic development based on knowledge in order to drive sustainable development at the community level.
