“Research Roadshow” to Brief
the Faculty of Science and Technology on
the FY2026 Research
Direction
To enhance the quality of research in a systematic manner and communicate policy frameworks aligned with sustainable local development, the Institute for Research and Development (IRD), Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, conducted a “Research Roadshow” with the Faculty of Science and Technology to translate the FY2026 operational direction into coordinated practice.
On 16 December 2025 at 2:00 p.m., the IRD convened a traveling briefing to outline its FY2026 operational plan to administrators, lecturers, and staff of the Faculty of Science and Technology. The session aimed to build shared understanding and reinforce a systematic approach to advancing the University’s research mission. The briefing was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, together with the executive team—Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication, and Dr. Duangjai Limsaksri, Vice-Director for Administration—alongside division heads and relevant personnel. Key topics included the SSRU researcher capability-building plan; clarification of performance appraisal criteria; guidelines for applying for University revenue-funded grants (individual and unit); guidance on publishing in national and international academic journals; “SSRU x SDGs”; procedures for human research ethics approval; and processes for filing patent and utility model applications. The event was warmly received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sopid Sawangjit, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, and was held at the Faculty of Science and Technology meeting room, Building 26.
The “Research Roadshow” serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and policy communication between the IRD and faculties across the University, fostering integrated cooperation to elevate SSRU’s research and innovation to international standards and translate outcomes into tangible benefits for industry and society in an effective and sustainable manner. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals by strengthening the University’s research learning ecosystem and researcher competencies (SDG 4), cultivating a professional research environment that supports career advancement for researchers and innovators (SDG 8 ), advancing research, innovation, and intellectual property toward internationally recognized knowledge infrastructures (SDG 9), upholding good governance, transparency, and auditable research ethics (SDG 16), and deepening intra-university collaboration to drive sustainable results (SDG 17).
