Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Pays a Courtesy Call on the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Thailand to Discuss International Collaboration

On 21 January 2026, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosjana Chandhasa, Vice-President for Research and Development, assigned AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, to pay a courtesy call to and hold discussions with Mr. Issa Abdulla bin Al Alawee, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Thailand, with the aim of initiating acquaintance and exploring avenues for international collaboration.

The meeting was joined by Ajarn Tonfon Sapniran, Assistant President for International Relations; Asst. Prof. Dr. Montarap Suthatharm, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Science and Technology; and Dr. Marisa Phaekhwamdee, President of Biz Inspiration Consulting Services Company (a Thai company based in Oman). They exchanged information and perspectives to help build a cooperation network between Thailand and Oman.

The visit focused on strengthening cordial relations and discussing opportunities to expand cooperation in academia and research, promote knowledge exchange, and connect with international networks in order to enhance the University’s capacity and presence on the global stage.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4 (Quality Education) through advancing academic and research collaboration and knowledge exchange; SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through linking research and innovation with international cooperation networks; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through building international partnerships among the University, the diplomatic sector, and the private sector to drive long-term collaborative development.
