
SSRU Institute for Research and Development Joins Planning Meeting and Workshop on Developing Local Incubation and Acceleration Systems for Economic and Industrial Area Clusters
On 22 December 2025, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), participated in a workshop titled “Development of an Incubation and Acceleration System for Local Economic and Industrial Area Clusters.” The workshop aimed to gather ideas, design collaboration mechanisms, and develop practical tools to drive research and innovation toward tangible economic and social impact at the local level. The event was held at the Beta Meeting Room, Pullman King Power Bangkok Hotel.
The opening session was delivered by the Vice-Director for Planning and Strategy of the Program Management Unit on Area-Based Development (PMU-A), who outlined the objectives and expected outcomes of the workshop.
SSRU’s Institute for Research and Development was represented by AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development; Dr. Doungjai Limsaksri, Vice-Director for Administration; and Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication. They were joined by the Dean of the Graduate School and the Graduate School executive team, as well as administrators from various universities.
This participation highlights SSRU’s role as a “University for Local Development,” connecting research, innovation, and workforce development with local needs and industrial clusters. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
