Suan Sunandha Presents “AI and Computer Vision” for Diagnosing Dry Leaf Disease in Rice at IEI 2026
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University presented its research and innovation project titled “Application of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision for the Diagnosis of Dry Leaf Disease in Rice” in the competition and exhibition at The 12th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2026), held in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, from August 21 to 23, 2026.
The project was developed by Lecturer Wassamon Saentaweesuk and Lecturer Atidtaya Buasri from the College of Innovation and Management, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The innovation applies Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision technologies to analyze and diagnose dry leaf disease in rice based on visible symptoms appearing on rice leaves. It supports more efficient plant abnormality detection and serves as a model for applying digital technology to the agricultural sector.
The presentation of this research and innovation formed part of the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s participation in IEI 2026, an international platform that provides opportunities for researchers, inventors, and educational institutions from various countries to present their works, exchange knowledge, and build collaborative networks in research and innovation. The event also supports the dissemination and further development of the university’s research outputs for international utilization.
