On 24 December 2025 at 10:00 a.m., the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), continued to advance its research mission by organizing the online activity “Research Roadshow: Briefing on Research Direction for Fiscal Year 2026 (B.E. 2569).” The session covered all university-affiliated units, including faculties, colleges, campuses, and education centers, and was delivered via Zoom Meeting.
The briefing was chaired by AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, who presented the university’s research policy and overall direction. The session was also joined by Asst. The briefing addressed major issues essential to strengthening researcher capacity, including the plan to elevate SSRU researchers, civil service performance appraisal criteria, guidelines for applying for university income-budget research grants at both individual and unit levels, and support for publishing in national and international academic journals. It also highlighted the “SSRU x SDGs” initiative, provided guidance on procedures for human research ethics approval, and explained the process for filing patent and petty patent applications to help ensure research outputs can be translated into practical use.
On the same occasion, the Graduate School executive team warmly welcomed the IRD team, reflecting strong collaboration in driving the university’s research agenda. The “Research Roadshow” serves as a key mechanism for policy communication, building shared understanding, and creating a learning and exchange space among units. This collaboration is expected to lead to integrated efforts that enhance SSRU’s research and innovation quality toward international standards and generate sustained positive impact for society and industry.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by strengthening the competencies of lecturers and students and continuously improving the university’s research-learning ecosystem (SDG 4: Quality Education); enhancing professional research environments and career advancement opportunities for researchers and innovators (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth); driving innovation, research outputs, and intellectual property toward international standards and real-world utilization (SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure); upholding good governance, transparency, and auditable research ethics standards (SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions); and reinforcing partnerships among IRD, internal units, and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes at both university and societal levels (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals).
