Congratulations! Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Research Innovation Wins International Gold Medal in the People’s Republic of China

The research and innovation project “Geospatial Platform for Road Traffic Accident Risk Analysis and Prediction,” or “แพลตฟอร์มภูมิสารสนเทศสำหรับการวิเคราะห์และคาดการณ์ความเสี่ยงการเกิดอุบัติเหตุทางถนน,” won the Gold Medal at The 12th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2026), held in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, from August 21 to 23, 2026.

The project was developed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Asst. Prof. Pornperm Sae-ngow, Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanyapat Thanakulwuttiroj from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

The innovation focuses on developing a geospatial platform for analyzing and predicting road traffic accident risks. It supports spatial data analysis, helps identify high-risk areas, and provides insights into accident patterns. The information generated from the platform can be used to support effective planning and the development of preventive measures to reduce road traffic accidents.

The university’s participation in this international competition was carried out under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosjana Chandhasa, Vice-President for Research and Development, who has continuously promoted and strengthened the capacity of researchers in creating high-quality research, innovation, and creative works. Her support has also helped drive outstanding research outputs to international competitions, enhancing the university’s research standards and recognition at the global level.

This achievement marks another proud success for Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. It reflects the capability of its researchers in developing and applying geospatial knowledge to support solutions for road safety challenges. It also promotes the practical utilization of research outputs and advances the university’s body of knowledge and research excellence onto the international stage.
