Institute for Research and Development Congratulates SSRU Research Team on Winning NRCT AWARD 2026
The Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, extends its sincere congratulations to the SSRU research team on receiving the NRCT AWARD 2026 for Research and Innovation Addressing National Challenges in the Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology category for the research project entitled “Geospatial Platform for Road Traffic Accident Risk Analysis and Prediction by Health Region.”
The award was presented as part of NRCT Forum 2026, held in celebration of the 67th Anniversary of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), on October 26, 2026, at the National Research Council of Thailand.

The award ceremony was honored by Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; and Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, who jointly presented the awards and congratulated the recipients.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosjana Chandhasa, Vice-President for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, also joined in congratulating the research team on this significant achievement.
The award-winning research applies geospatial technology to develop a web-based platform for analyzing, monitoring, and predicting road traffic accident risks by health region. The platform is designed to support the use of spatial data in planning and formulating effective accident prevention measures, while promoting the application of information technology to address road safety challenges, one of the country’s key concerns.
This recognition reflects the strong capabilities of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University researchers in integrating information technology and data analytics to develop innovative solutions that respond to national needs. The research has the potential to be further developed and applied in practical settings, while also bringing recognition and pride to the university.
