
The Institute for Research and Development and NIA Conduct Final Pitching Selection for Social Innovation Projects
On June 19, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), or NIA, conducted the Final Pitching selection for social innovation projects under the Social Innovation Driving Unit Project for the Upper Northeastern Region. The activity was held under the concept of “Innovation for Sustainable Communities.”
The selection was honored by the participation of Mr. Chalermphong Klakayan, Innovation Development Manager of the Area-Based Innovation Finance Support Department, and Miss Wanita Thongphat, Innovation Developer from the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization). The panel of qualified experts also included Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Chairperson of the Social Innovation Driving Unit; Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Chairperson of the Unit; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wat Ploysri, Committee Member of the Social Innovation Driving Unit; and Mr. Pornthep Thanalertpipat, Executive Director of Geo Solutions Co., Ltd.
The activity was held at the Phitsamai Phimonsat Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Building 43, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, and was also conducted online via Zoom Meeting. Staff members from the Institute for Research and Development and the National Innovation Agency jointly supported the implementation of the activity.
A total of 16 projects participated in the Final Pitching round. The projects were categorized into three areas: 11 projects in food innovation, two projects in climate innovation, and three projects in digital innovation.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; SDG 13: Climate Action; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
