
Institute Research and Development of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University organized the “AI Co-Teacher: Enhancing Language Learning and Innovative Educational Media” workshop
on 20 June 2026 at SD Avenue Hotel. The workshop aimed to strengthen the capacity of teachers and educational personnel in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to the design of learning materials and instructional practices aligned with the demands of 21st-century education. The initiative forms part of the university’s academic service mission to support local community development.
The activity was carried out under the direction of Assistant Professor Dr. Morakot Worachairungruang, Director of the Research and Development Institute, who assigned Assistant Professor Dr. Wat Ploysri, Deputy Director for Academic Services, to oversee the implementation of the program. The workshop featured Dr. Sakda Supap from Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin as the keynote speaker. As an expert in educational technology, learning design, and the application of AI in education, he shared his expertise and conducted hands-on training on the use of AI tools for developing innovative learning materials.
Participants included teachers from nine schools: Wat Sawatwaree Simaram School, Wat Benchamabophit School, Wat Samananborihan School, Wat Rajadhivas School, Wat Pracharabuetham School, Wat Bang Khun Non School, Wat Thewarat Kunchorn School, Wat Thammaphirataram School, and Wat Chantharasamoson School. Through the workshop, participants enhanced their competencies in using AI to design educational media, foster students’ critical thinking skills, and support active learning approaches that can be effectively implemented in their own classrooms.
The workshop was organized through a collaboration between Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University and Wat Sawatwaree Simaram School, demonstrating the university’s role in transferring knowledge and innovation to the local education sector. The initiative also supports the professional development of teachers by equipping them with digital competencies that enable the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning, thereby contributing to improved educational quality and broader access to quality education.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4: Quality Education) by enhancing teachers’ digital skills and competencies for technology-enabled teaching and learning. It also contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaborative partnerships between the university and local schools to strengthen educational quality within the community and expand the effective use of technology for the benefit of learners at the local level.
