On June 25, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized an activity to build networks and strengthen the social innovation ecosystem for owners of social-ready innovation projects. The activity was held under the Social Innovation Driving Unit Project for the Upper Northeastern Region, under the concept of “Innovation for Sustainable Communities.”

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication, to deliver a briefing on the details of social innovation grant support. The session aimed to create a clear understanding of operational guidelines and approaches for driving innovation projects toward concrete benefits for society and local communities.

The activity focused on fostering social innovation networks and an enabling ecosystem to promote, support, and advance innovations that respond to diverse social needs. Under the concept of “Innovation for Sustainable Communities,” the initiative serves as an important mechanism for developing innovation in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

More than 23 researchers who received social innovation grant support from the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), or NIA, participated in the briefing via Zoom Meeting. Staff members from the Institute for Research and Development also supported the organization and facilitation of the activity, ensuring that the implementation proceeded smoothly and effectively.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; SDG 13: Climate Action; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
