Suan Sunandha Launches “Integrated Bioway Innovation Learning Center” to Promote Learning and Enhance Quality of Life in Samut Songkhram Communities

On July 24, 2026, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through the Institute for Research and Development, in collaboration with the Faculty of Education, Wat Charoensukharam School (Wattana Nuwat), and local network partners, held the opening ceremony of the “Integrated Bioway Innovation Learning Center for Learning and Quality of Life Enhancement.” The center was established under the Rajabhat University Strategy for Local Development Project and is located at Wat Charoensukharam School (Wattana Nuwat), Bang Nok Khwaek Subdistrict, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province.

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Asst. Prof. Dr. Wat Ploysri, Vice-Director for Academic Services, to implement and coordinate the activity. The initiative aims to advance the university’s mission in academic services, knowledge transfer, and the practical application of university innovations for local development.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chayachai Saeng-In, Governor of Samut Songkhram Province. Mr. Natthaphat Chamnanrak, Director of Wat Charoensukharam School, delivered welcoming remarks, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Kannika Piromrat, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, presented the objectives and background of the learning center’s establishment. The event was attended by executives from government agencies, local administrative organizations, school administrators, teachers, students, community members, and network partners.

The learning center was established through collaboration among the university, the school, and local agencies. It aims to develop the school as a model space for integrated learning by connecting classroom instruction, educational innovation, local wisdom, product processing based on community resources, and bioway agricultural management. The center is designed to enable students, teachers, parents, and community members to learn and apply knowledge appropriately in daily life and occupational development.

The center consists of four key learning stations: a product processing station using Karanda fruit; a Bang Khonthi community way-of-life museum station; an innovation-based learning station; and a bioway agricultural plot station under the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, or RSPG. Each station has been designed as a learning resource that connects academic knowledge with local resources, wisdom, and the way of life of people in the community.

Following the opening ceremony, the presiding guest and distinguished participants visited all four learning stations. They also attended presentations on the center’s operational approaches, knowledge transfer activities, and expected outcomes from applying the learning activities to students and local residents.

The launch of the Integrated Bioway Innovation Learning Center reflects the role of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University as a higher education institution dedicated to local development. By integrating knowledge, research, innovation, and academic services with schools and communities, the university helps create learning opportunities, strengthen local capacity, and enhance the quality of life of people in the community, contributing to stable and sustainable local development.
