Institute for Research and Development Organizes the 4th Human Research Ethics Training Program of 2026 to Enhance Knowledge among Chinese Graduate Students

On August 23, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized a training program titled “Human Research Ethics in Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences, No. 4/2026” via Zoom Meeting. The program aimed to develop knowledge and understanding of human research ethics and to lay a foundation for applying ethical principles appropriately in research design and implementation.

The program was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, who presided over the opening ceremony. Lecturer Wisut Siripornnopakhun, Vice-Director for Administration, delivered the report. The training session was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yothin Sawaengdee, Chairperson of the Human Research Ethics Committee in Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, who served as the guest speaker.

The training content covered key principles of human research ethics, including research project design and development, participant recruitment, risk-benefit assessment, confidentiality, personal data protection, and the importance of respecting the rights and dignity of research participants throughout every stage of the research process.

A total of 134 Chinese graduate students participated in the training. The online format provided participants with an opportunity to exchange views and ask questions related to the conduct of human research directly with the guest speaker.

Post-training assessment results showed that 100 percent of participants met the training criteria. This reflects that the participants were able to achieve the knowledge standards set by the program and provides an important foundation for applying ethical principles to the planning and implementation of graduate-level research.

The activity is directly linked to SDG 4: Quality Education through the development of research ethics knowledge and skills among graduate students. It also supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by promoting understanding of responsible research governance, the protection of research participants’ rights, and ethical research practices.
