From October 29–30, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, sent its personnel to participate in the “Editorial Skill Development” training program, Course A2: Professional Level for Experienced Editors, organized by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI). The training was held at Surasak Rooms 1–2, 11th Floor, Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, Bangkok, and brought together editors, editorial board members, and personnel involved in academic journal management from across the country.

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication; Mr. Anuphan Suttimarn, Head of General Administration; and Mr. Khajonwong Srivareerat, Scientist, to participate in the training with the aim of enhancing the standards and quality of the university’s academic journal management.

The training was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, Head of the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), who delivered sessions on “Editorial Skills: Roles of the Editor-in-Chief and Setting Up Related Policies” and “Case Studies in Journal Management: How to Deal with Unexpected Situations.”

Participants also gained valuable insights from the session “How to Manage and Improve a Journal Indexed in Scopus: Lessons Learned from an Editor-in-Chief,” presented by an editor of LEARN Journal, Thammasat University.

Participation in this training represents an important step in strengthening knowledge and understanding of academic journal management and editorial operations, including the roles and responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, Assistant Editor, Managing Editor, Section Editor, and Copy Editor.

The knowledge and experience gained from the program will contribute to enhancing the standards and quality of academic journals at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, supporting their continued development toward greater quality, professionalism, and international recognition.
