Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University is strengthening student potential and preparing the next generation to become an important driving force in agricultural research and innovation in Thailand.
From 23–25 March 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, sent student teams to participate in the “Young Smart ARDA รุ่นที่ 1” Training Camp, organized by the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization) at the King Rama IX Museum of Agriculture, Pathum Thani Province.
The program served as an important platform for developing research and innovation skills, with the aim of nurturing high-quality young talent through the integration of science, technology, and innovation to advance Thailand’s agricultural sector in an efficient and sustainable way.
SSRU students were selected to join the program with 3 teams from the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology and the Faculty of Science and Technology. Their projects focused on innovative solutions in agriculture, including an underwater drone for water quality monitoring in Nile tilapia farming, an intelligent insect trap system using computer vision and environmental sensors, and a digital twin smart stingless bee farm for hive health monitoring, yield prediction, and precision environmental management.
This achievement reflects the University’s strong commitment to supporting research and innovation, while empowering students with analytical thinking, creativity, and practical problem-solving skills. It also marks another important step in developing future leaders who will contribute to the nation’s agricultural research and innovation ecosystem.
The initiative is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
