Institute for Research and Development Organizes Workshop on Research Impact Evaluation

On 5 June 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized a workshop on “Research Impact Evaluation” at the Royal River Hotel, Bangkok. The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in evaluating the impact of research among university executives, lecturers, and researchers.

The training emphasized the importance of research that not only generates new knowledge and academic publications, but also demonstrates tangible outcomes and meaningful changes for communities, society, the economy, and people’s quality of life.

Participants gained knowledge on key concepts, principles, and tools for research impact evaluation, including social outcome analysis and Social Return on Investment (SROI), which are important approaches for reflecting the broader value of research in various dimensions.

The workshop attracted more than 50 participants from university departments, reflecting a strong commitment to improving research quality in line with international standards and promoting research that creates sustainable positive impacts on society.

This activity aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education, through the development of research personnel capacity; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through the promotion of impactful research and innovation; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through academic knowledge exchange and collaboration for sustainable national development.
