Suan Sunandha IRD Conducts Field Visit to Samut Sakhon Salt Farming Area to Monitor FF 2026 Research and Promote BCG Innovation for Community Utilization

On July 7, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, conducted a field visit to the Salt Farming Learning School in Khok Kham Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. The visit aimed to monitor the progress of the Fundamental Fund research program for Fiscal Year B.E. 2569 and to promote the practical utilization of research and innovation for the benefit of local communities and area-based development.

The field visit was conducted under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, who assigned Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication, together with Lecturer Wisut Siripornnopakhun, Vice-Director for Administration; Miss Suangsuda Subjaroen, Head of Research and Publication; and the Research and Publication team, to monitor the implementation of the research project in the area.

During the visit, the executives and personnel attended a progress report presentation, followed up on project outputs and outcomes, and listened to challenges, obstacles, and recommendations from the research team. They also exchanged views on approaches to further improving project implementation to ensure that the research can achieve its planned objectives and that the knowledge generated can be applied for meaningful benefits in the areas of the economy, society, environment, community development, and area-based knowledge creation.

The research project monitored during this visit was titled “Learning Innovation for Waste Material Management and the Development of a Digital Market Mechanism toward a Learning Center Based on the BCG Economy Concept for the Sea Salt Business in Samut Songkhram Province.” The project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaisri Tarasawatpipat from the Faculty of Science and Technology, together with a team of researchers from the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The project focuses on developing knowledge and innovation in waste material management for the sea salt business, alongside the development of digital market mechanisms and community learning centers based on the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy concept. It emphasizes the efficient use of resources, value creation from local materials and products, the expansion of economic opportunities, and the promotion of community development based on local resources and wisdom.
