
SSRU Participates in Training on “Publication Ethics in Thai Journal Management” to Enhance Academic Journal Administration Capacity
On August 4, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, assigned personnel to attend the training course titled “Publication Ethics in Thai Journal Management,” organized by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI). The training was held at Surasak Rooms 1–2, 11th Floor, Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, Bangkok. A total of 131 participants, including editors, editorial board members, and personnel involved in academic journals from across the country, attended the program.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Mr. Anuphan Suttimarn, Head of General Administration, and Mr. Khajonwong Srivareerat, Scientist, to participate in the training in order to enhance the standards and quality of academic journal management at the university.
The training was honored by Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, Head of the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), who delivered welcoming remarks and presided over the opening ceremony. He also gave a lecture on “Principle of Publication Ethics for Editors: Ethics in General, Types of Plagiarism and IRIS (Integrity Risk Indicator by SCImago).” The session emphasized key principles of publication ethics for editors and editorial boards, types of plagiarism, and approaches to raising awareness and preventing plagiarism in academic journals.
In addition, participants learned how to use IRIS (Integrity Risk Indicator by SCImago), a technology designed to assess and manage ethical risks in academic publishing.
Participation in this training marks an important step in strengthening knowledge and understanding of publication ethics, as well as applying ethical risk assessment tools to journal management. These efforts will contribute to enhancing the standards of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s academic journals and supporting their quality and recognition at the international level.
