Institute for Research and Development, SSRU Advances Student Development toward Becoming Next-Generation Entrepreneurs (Start-ups / Business Owners / MSMEs)

From August 3 to 5, 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized a training program to develop students into new entrepreneurs, including start-ups, business owners, and MSMEs. The program aimed to strengthen students’ business knowledge, develop entrepreneurial skills, and prepare them to apply research outputs, innovations, and creative ideas for practical commercial development.

On August 3, 2026, Lecturer Atidtaya Buasri, Vice-Director for Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation at the Institute for Research and Development, served as a guest speaker on the topic “Marketing Plan Writing.” She shared concepts, techniques, and experience in developing marketing strategies to enhance the capacity of students aspiring to become future entrepreneurs.

On August 4, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Lecturer Atidtaya Buasri, Vice-Director for Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation, to preside over the opening ceremony. The program was honored by the participation of Lecturer Rinnaranee Saneewat, Chairperson of Business Guide Co., Ltd., who served as a guest speaker and shared knowledge on “Business Plan Development.” She also provided in-depth business consultation to participating students.

On August 5, 2026, students presented their business plans. Lecturer Atidtaya Buasri and Lecturer Rinnaranee Saneewat provided intensive business coaching and guidance to help students analyze business feasibility, plan operations, and develop business models capable of competing in real markets.

The program attracted 58 students from five faculties and four colleges, namely the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Architecture, College of Innovation and Management, and College of Politics and Governance.

This program reflects the mission of the Institute for Research and Development in promoting the university’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. It aims to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial mindset, enabling them to transform research outputs, inventions, and innovations into new businesses, generate income, and enhance competitiveness. These efforts contribute to sustainable economic, social, and national development.

The activity also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the development of students’ learning skills and entrepreneurial competencies; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through the promotion of new entrepreneurs, career creation, and expanded employment opportunities; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by encouraging the commercial utilization of research outputs, inventions, and innovations to create added value; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration among the university, government sector, private sector, and industry to jointly strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive sustainable national development.

The activity was held at Amphawa Na Non Hotel, Samut Songkhram Province.
