SSRU Research Showcased for Real-World Utilization at “Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026”

Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU) presented research and inventions with strong potential for practical application at “Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026”, held during 5–9 January 2026 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok. The showcase took place in the “Inventions for Utilization” zone, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) to disseminate research and innovation that contribute to sustainable development.

At Booth DD08, SSRU exhibited “clothing made from Hom Thong banana fibers” and a “woven fabric bag made from vetiver grass fibers,” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosjana Chandhasa and Dr. Panu Pattanapanithipong from the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology. The works highlight the value-added use of local resources and natural materials, supporting environmentally responsible product development and aligning with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

At Booth DC06, SSRU showcased “health products from Bang Chang chili oil,” led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pharmacist Pimporn Thongmuang and a research team from the College of Allied Health Sciences and the Faculty of Science and Technology. The project aims to elevate local wisdom into standardized health products that enhance well-being and strengthen the grassroots economy, linking to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).

SSRU’s participation underscores the university’s role in advancing research and innovation for society and the economy, including tangible pathways for both commercial and public utilization under the SDG framework. On this occasion, Dr. Panu Pattanapanithipong and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pharmacist Pimporn Thongmuang received certificates of recognition presented by Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), at Event Hall 100–104, BITEC, Bang Na, Bangkok.
