The Institute for Research and Development Participates in a Consultation on Semantic Data Standards for the Science, Research and Innovation (SRI) System in Collaboration with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)

On Friday, 30 January B.E. 2569 (2026), at the Asawin Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok, the Institute for Research and Development (IRD) participated in an activity hosted by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to help advance the development of data standards and a data linkage model for the Science, Research and Innovation (SRI) ecosystem, focusing on Semantic Data. The initiative aims to enhance and harmonize data exchange across agencies through a unified and systematic framework.

On this occasion, AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, assigned Mr. Anuphan Suttimarn, Head of General Administration, together with Miss Suangsuda Subjaroen, Head of Research and Publication, and Miss Chutima Teerasuwan, Research Officer, to attend the consultation and provide input. The session gathered feedback and recommendations from relevant organizations to further improve the standards so that they are comprehensive, practical for implementation, capable of reducing duplication, increasing accuracy, and effectively supporting national-level data integration.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through the development of interoperable data infrastructure and innovation systems with standardized linkages; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by strengthening data governance, transparency, and institutional effectiveness through accurate and systematic data; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering inter-agency collaboration in setting standards and integrating national data for efficient shared use.
