The Institute for Research and Development Convenes the 1/2569 (2026) Meeting of the Committee to Review Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Regulations on Intellectual Property Management, B.E. 2555 (2012)

On 6 February B.E. 2569 (2026), from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, convened the 1/2569 (2026) meeting of the Committee to Review the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Regulations on Intellectual Property Management, B.E. 2555 (2012). The meeting was held at the Meeting Room of the Office of the President, 5th Floor, Office of the President Building, and via Zoom Meeting.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Chairman of the University Council of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, with the participation of AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development; Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University; Atidtaya Buasri, Vice-Director of Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University; Dr. Doungjai Limsaksri, Vice-Director for Administration, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wat Ploysri, Vice-Director for Academic Affairs and Training Service, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University; and Miss Pornthip Ruangprach, Head of Office of the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Also attending were committee members and subject-matter experts, representatives of researchers, representatives of relevant units, and representatives from the Faculty of Law, all joining in full attendance.

The purpose of the meeting was to jointly review the draft Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Regulations on the Management of Intellectual Property, Research Outputs and Innovation, B.E. …. The draft has been revised to ensure greater completeness and comprehensive coverage, and to align with current circumstances as well as relevant laws and regulations that promote the utilization of research and innovation outputs. Such legal and regulatory frameworks affect the determination of ownership of works involving intellectual property. The revision aims to ensure that implementation is systematic and transparent, and that the regulations can be applied effectively in practice.

In addition, the meeting aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in multiple dimensions, including promoting quality education through a clear support system for research and innovation; advancing innovation and the translation of research outputs into practical use; and strengthening good governance, transparency, and the rule of law in the administration and management of intellectual property. It also supports cooperation between the University and various sectors to drive the sustainable utilization of knowledge and innovation.

This meeting represents another important step in shaping the University’s policy direction on intellectual property management, with the aim of elevating standards for the protection and utilization of research and innovation outputs to achieve maximum effectiveness in academic, economic, and social terms going forward.
