The Institute for Research and Development of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University joined in preserving Thai cultural heritage through the celebration of the Thai New Year Festival (Songkran) 2026 on 7 April 2026.

On this occasion, executives and personnel of the Institute participated in the sacred water-pouring ceremony to pay respect to Phra Phuttha Sunanthakorn and the replica royal statue of Queen Sunanda Kumariratana, as a gesture of reverence and for auspicious blessings.

Representing the Institute for Research and Development were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosjana Chandhasa, Vice-President for Research and Development, AsstProf Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the Institute for Research and Development, Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication, Jirawat Sudsawart, Deputy Director for Administration, and Atidtaya Buasri, Vice-Director of Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation.

The event also featured the traditional Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony, during which university executives, faculty members, and staff paid respect and received blessings from senior administrators in a warm and auspicious atmosphere at the Hall of Honor, 1st Floor, Building 32, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

This activity reflects the University’s commitment to preserving Thai traditions and strengthening unity within the institution. It is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
