????“SSRU Accelerates Research Excellence Toward the Global Stage, Aiming for Steady Gains in the QS World University Rankings (Round 2)”

On 8 December 2025, the Institute for Research and Development (IRD), Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU) convened a strategic meeting on the “Fundamental Fund (FY 2022–2025)” to elevate research quality to international standards and drive sustained advancement in the QS World University Rankings. The session was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Worachairungreung, Director of the IRD, together with Mr. Tonphon Sapnirund, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Nayot Kulpanich, Vice-Director for Research and Publication. More than 50 grant holders and relevant working groups joined the meeting online.

Throughout the meeting, participants aligned on a systematic roadmap—strengthening researcher capability, expanding partnerships with domestic and international institutions, advancing publications and visibility in global scholarly databases and forums, and translating research into tangible socio-economic impacts.

The IRD underscored a proactive, continuous quality-improvement approach to enhance SSRU’s global competitiveness and to push for steady, robust, and sustainable gains in future QS rankings.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by upgrading human capital and the university’s research-learning ecosystem (SDG 4), fostering researcher/innovator career growth and converting outputs into measurable socio-economic value (SDG ????, strengthening research infrastructure, publications, and international indicators to global standards (SDG 9), and expanding cross-border collaborations to build sustainable capacity for world rankings (SDG 17).
