Institute for Research and Development Conducts Workshop in Ranong to Promote Local Food and Desserts for Commercial Development

From 20 to 21 May 2026, the Institute for Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized a practical training workshop in Ranong Province under the topic “Development of Local Food and Desserts for Commercial Purposes.” The activities were held in Khao Niwet Community and Ban Thung Ngao Community, Mueang Ranong District, with the participation of 100 local residents and community enterprise members.

The workshop focused on transferring knowledge and practical skills in preparing local food and traditional desserts, enabling participants to apply the knowledge to their occupations, generate income, and further develop local products with added value. The initiative aims to strengthen the grassroots economy and promote sustainable community development.

This activity was conducted as part of the project to upgrade research-based prototype products for commercial use. It supports the application of research knowledge in real communities, in line with the creative economy concept and the Rajabhat University strategy for local development. The project also aims to enhance the capacity of community entrepreneurs, improve market competitiveness, and increase the value of community products.

The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The Institute for Research and Development remains committed to applying research-based knowledge for practical use in local areas, improving people’s quality of life, creating career opportunities and income, and supporting long-term sustainable community development.
